Best Fresh Group introduces 5 new brands at Fruit Logistica

Distinction on the fresh product shelves is of pivotal importance and the time is right to provide fruit and vegetables with a stronger profile.

For this reason the Best Fresh Group presented the first of 5 new brands this week: the unique premium collection of fruit and vegetables under the name ‘Icons’.

The new brand policy includes another 4 distinguishing brands: Discovered, EasyTo, ThankYouNature and Aroma.

The new products represent a switch from ‘brands-per-business’ to 'brands-per-segment’. In this way it is a switch to thinking from the point of view of the client.

On the basis of the brand clients can immediately see what quality they can expect. In addition brands such as Icons, Discovered and EasyTo offer an opportunity to increase the performance,’ said Mart Vastar, director of the Best Fresh Group.

Icons

In order to be eligible for the Icons qualification a product must offer the best of the best of the season, not only in taste, but also in shape and colour.In the light colour of the packaging the products are ideally presented. Each product comes with a unique number, colour and additional name.

In this way Best Fresh demonstrate that Icons consists of a collection in which each product has its own story. Each packaging is fitted with a unique QR code allowing the consumer to give feedback about the product and to find more information about its origins.

Discovered

Pomegranate seeds, red kiwi, sweet potato… the average consumer has no idea of the existence, the taste or origin of many products that are slightly less well known, let alone knowledge concerning preparation or storage. But consumers also are curious. Hence this private label for specialities.

EasyTo

Consumers wants to eat fresh and healthy products, without additional preparation time. The answer to this is the comfort assortment EasyTo. Wok, steam, soup and salad as complete dinner components and provided with extras - for instance a herbal mix.

ThankYouNature

Assortments of fruits and vegetables guaranteed to contain more nutritional values than average. Tomatoes with more lycopene, carrots with more beta-carotene, and red onions with more quercetin, to mention just a few examples of the extensive assortment. ThankYouNature tells you how healthy qualities of fresh products affect the human body and, most importantly, how to prepare for best results.

Together with certified and trained vegetable specialists Best Fresh started this range in the Netherlands in 2011.

Aroma

The daily assortment of the Best Fresh Group will be easily recognisable. Where the brand Icons marks the top segment of the market, Aroma is there for the volume of quality products.
