Multitray B.V. established in the Netherlands is the producer of the thermo-formed synthetic packings for the pastry and fruit and vegetable industry. Multitray B.V. will shortly introduce the Fruitsaver, a new revolutionary patented packing system during Fruit Logistica 2012 from 8 - 10 February in Berlin. This simple packing system prevents damage to the fruit during transport. When using Multitray Foodsaver the fruit does not rest on the bottom of the packing box; with vulnerable fruit, such as for instance, mangoes, avocado's, pears and figs bruising of the fruit is prevented. 
The Fruitsaver system clearly offers your fruit a better protection during transport.
An American investigation carried out by the University of California Davis in cooperation with the California Pear Advisory Board and the California Avocado Commission, has shown that using a hammock system like this for transporting Bartlett pears and avocados resulted in a substantial decrease of transport damage compared to traditional packing.
