Syngenta at Fruit Logistica 2012
Syngenta, leader in seed and plant protection, presents its unique products and service portfolio at the Fruit Logistica 2012 (Hall 1.2/C-08). The fair takes place in Berlin from 8 to 10 February 2012. During the fair Syngenta presents its new and innovative development for the fresh market. The sweet and seedless pepper introduced under the ANGELLO brand has an exciting taste sensation and is of first class quality. Visitors can taste the first pepper in snack size, which is not only seedless but also unequalled sweet and firm. ANGELLO is a pleasant snack at anytime of the day.
After the mini tomato ANGELLE in 2011 this is the second year in which Syngenta is reached the top ten of the Fruit Logistica Innovation Awards with ANGELLO pepper in snack size. New varieties of melon, tomatoes and cauliflower are other examples of how the company knows how to offer unique solutions to the requirements of the consumers. In addition to assortment presentation Syngenta also shows its involvement in more sustainable and proactive in agriculture. Also the strategy of the company, which includes the expertise in the area of seed and plant protection, is further explained.
"The integration of our offer to assist growers and the chain to realise their challenges is our most important strategy" as per Alexander Tokarz, Head of vegetables at Syngenta. "We regard Fruit Logistica as a unique opportunity to show what Syngenta, as the only one, can offer the fruit and vegetable chain." Mark Bidwell, Head of Speciality crops adds. "Interested parties within the potato, fruit and vegetable producing chain must be careful about expense control, sustainable production, food safety and satisfied consumers. Syngenta is the first company, which with its wide expertise, combines in these areas. Together with inputs and technologies its clients support the challenges and the creation of competitive advantage."
With the theme "Sustainable production of fruit and vegetables" Syngenta organise a simultaneous event on 9 February 2012. Alexander Tokarz will give a summary of the various activities of Syngenta and discuss possibilities and challenges with representatives from the food chain. Guest speakers share experiences and views in the lines of durable supply, the present practice and how companies may change their policies into activities.
