FAO releases updated food and agriculture database
It generally receives around 200,000 hits per month from national statisticians, researchers, civil society, government officials, the private sector, international agencies and the worldwide media.
FAOSTAT now offers a modern user interface which is also readable on personal computer as well as more modern devices such as mobile phones and tablets. Other new features include improved search functionality, simpler navigation, improved yet more flexible architecture permitting quicker publication of new data sets.
Data visualizations have also seen an improvement with the new tool, and it is now possible to download customized data sets, maps and charts which were previously only able to be viewed.
