In nine out of twenty regions of Kazakhstan, prices for fresh vegetables are decreasing

In the first quarter of 2023, the import of vegetables such as beets and aubergines increased in Kazakhstan. In turn, the import of vegetables such as peppers, onions, cabbage, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, and garlic has decreased.

Meanwhile, vegetable exports from Kazakhstan have increased for potatoes, carrots, onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers, but decreased for peppers and cabbage. At the same time, the exports of potatoes and onions from Kazakhstan exceeded the imports.

In spring, Onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes have experienced a significant price increase, while potatoes, carrots, and white cabbage have decreased in price.
