The ProHass trade association reported that two representatives of the Plant Protection Research and Development Office of Thailand's Department of Agriculture (DOA) visited Peru between May 12 and 16 as part of the phytosanitary agreements between the two countries.
The representatives conducted a thorough audit of crop fields and packing plants, verifying that the requirements are met to authorize Hass avocado exports in the 2025 season.
This successful visit was possible thanks to the logistical and financial support of ProHass' associates and the coordination of Senasa, reaffirming the sector's commitment to opening and consolidating new international markets.
"We extend our gratitude to Senasa, and the producers and associates of La Libertad, CaƱete, Barranca, and Huaral for their valuable collaboration. This inspection has ratified the high technical and sanitary level with which our Hass avocados are handled, a true source of pride for Peruvian agricultural exports," ProHass concluded.
