"We have a volume of 32 tons per week at the moment"

Mangosteen is harvested throughout the year in various regions of Indonesia. Exporting company Citra Tama Jaya Indo are currently sourcing the fruit from Bogor.

"We are working with local growers who plant the trees and harvest the mangosteen and then deliver it to us," explains Stevan Budi Susanto from the company.

"We have a volume of 32 tons per week at the moment, growing conditions have been quite good so far this year. Until now our main markets have been China and Hong Kong, but we are now looking to export to Europe and the Middle East. We are currently negotiating with our buyers in the regions."

All of the mangosteen is for the export markets.

"We have not as yet established our own brand and currently pack under our customer's brands."
