Bilateral agricultural ties profit Thailand and South Africa

According to South Africa's Ambassador to Thailand, Darkey Africa, the agricultural sector has significantly benefited from the bilateral relations between the two nations. In an interview with the Bangkok Post, commemorating 30 years of diplomatic ties and the anniversary of freedom and democracy in South Africa, Mr. Africa reflected on the positive outcomes of these relations.

The ambassador noted the signing of numerous agreements across various sectors, including agriculture, which has facilitated the import and export of fruits between the two nations. South African fruits have found a market in Thailand, while Thai mangosteen and durian are exported to South Africa. Mr. Africa expressed interest in introducing South African wine to Thailand, but prioritized the exchange of agricultural expertise between the two countries.
