The Republic of Kazakhstan has become one of the main importers of Stavropol grapes

Since the beginning of 2023, the North Caucasus Interregional Department of the Rosselkhoznadzor has monitored the shipment of 84,069 tons of grapes for export from the Stavropol Krai. Specifically, 84 tons of grapes were sent to the Republic of Kazakhstan, and 69 kg to the Republic of Armenia.

The latest shipment, totaling 42 tons, was processed on September 25. Last year, Stavropol exported only 535 kg of grapes, exclusively to Armenia. This year, Kazakhstan emerged as the primary importing country.

To prevent the spread of quarantine threats, samples were taken from shipments to ensure compliance with phytosanitary requirements. The grapes were tested for pests such as the Maconellicoccus hirsutus, Scirtothrips dorsalis, Spodoptera frugiperda, among others. After meeting the mandatory standards, the necessary phytosanitary certificates were issued.
