"Nanhui 8424" watermelon is medium in size, with beautiful skin and black seeds. The same is true of the 8424 watermelon, only Nanhui is the most delicious. This is because the Nanhui location is surrounded by water on three sides, the air humidity is high, the temperature difference is large, the frost-free season can last for more than 240 days on average, and the climate is very suitable for watermelon growth. Next to this, the land in Nanhui has high salt content and is a saline-alkali land with a PH value above 7, which is also conducive to the increase of watermelon sugar content.
Besides the Nanhui 8424 watermelon, another preferred variety, the Jinshan Xiaohuangguan, is also very popular among citizens.

It is understood that this year, more than 1000 hectares of "Nanhui 8424 watermelon" were planted in Pudong New Area, with an annual output of more than 30,000 tons, accounting for one-third of the city's total watermelon output. After implementing large-scale planting, standardized production and branding operations, the Jinshan Xiaohuangguan Watermelon has planted more than 66 hectares this year.
