Thai fruit exporters are expected to export more fruit to China through Nanning Airport

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Thailand revealed this week that the designated supervision site for imported fruits at Nanning Airport has recently been approved by the General Administration of Customs of China for operation. Thai fruit exporters are expected to export more Thai fruits to the Chinese market through this channel.

Mananya, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Thailand, said that recently, the General Administration of Customs of China approved and designated Nanning Wuxu International Airport in Guangxi as an import point for overseas fruits. Therefore, Chinese fruit importers will be able to import more fruits through Wuxu Airport.

In addition, according to the Thai Consulate General in Nanning, the Agriculture Department of the Thai Consulate General in Guangzhou and the Nanning International Trade Promotion Association, this is also an additional channel to increase the export of Thai fruit by air.

Mananya said that this is good news for Thai farmers and exporters, especially now that durians in eastern Thailand are on the market. It is reported that from February 1 to April 8, Thailand exported 1,993 batches of durians to China, with an export volume of 21,994.91 tons worth 2.066 billion baht.
