At Shenzhen port, the container throughput reached 23.788 million TEU in the period January -October this year, a 10.7 percent rise year-on-year. Out of the total volume, foreign trade container throughput was 21.992 million TEU, a year-on-year increase of 11.3 percent.
During the period mentioned, the port handled vessels of 62 international container liner routes. The port's empty container handlings reached 7.357 million TEU, an increase of 18 percent year-on-year.
Shenzhen’s transportation department carried out measures for prevention and control of epidemic since the beginning of the year which helped sea and air cargo logistics continue to grow supporting the development of Shenzhen’s export-oriented economy.
