Around 260 exhibitors from ten countries have already registered for the trade fair duo expoSE & ExpoDirekt 2021. From 17 to 18 November 2021, the industry will meet at the 25th expoSE – Europe's largest meeting place for the asparagus and berry sector – and the 10th expoDirekt – Germany's largest trade fair for direct agricultural marketing – at Messe Karlsruhe.
"Of course, the registration level is a little more restrained than in recent years, but we assume that many companies will register quickly after the summer break", explains Simon Schumacher optimistically.
Simon is spokesman for the board of the Verband Süddeutscher Spargel- und Erdbeeranbauer e. V. (Association of Southern German Asparagus and Strawberry Growers) (VSSE) and organiser of the trade fair duo. "Most growers have been vaccinated by now; the hygiene rules and infection protection are part of everyday life. Messe Karlsruhe's infection control concept is comprehensive and has already proven its worth. The entire sector is already waiting impatiently to find out about innovations again, to invest in future-proof machines and solutions, and to exchange ideas in an analogous way."
Supporting programme: Asparagus Day, Berry Symposium and Direct Marketers' Forum
The 32nd Asparagus Day invites asparagus growers to attend specialist lectures on Wednesday, 17 November 2021, at 1 p.m. in the large conference hall of the Trade Fair Conference Centre. On Thursday, 18 November 2021, the berry symposium and the direct marketers' forum will offer professional exchange in addition to the trade fair. The supporting programme is included in the trade fair ticket.
expoSE and expoDirekt Innovation Awards and award ceremony for farm shop of the year
Exhibitors at expoSE and expoDirekt can apply for the Innovation Award with their innovations by 17 September 2021. An independent jury of experts will review the submissions and award the prizes. The award ceremony will take place on the first day of the fair directly at the stands of the respective winners. As part of the expoDirekt trade fair, the presentation of the best farm shops and the award ceremony for the farm shop of the year will be held by the trade media HOFdirekt and top agrar on 17 November 2021.
Safe visit to the fair with infection control concept and traceability
The Verband Süddeutscher Spargel- und Erdbeeranbauer e. V. (VSSE) follows the coronavirus infection control concept of Messe Karlsruhe in conducting the trade fair. The aisles between the stands will be 3-5 m wide; optimum air exchange and sufficient disinfectant dispensers will be ensured. Currently, admission to the fair is only for those who have either been vaccinated against, tested for or recovered from coronavirus infection. In addition, a distance of 1.50 m must be maintained, mouth and nose coverings must be worn, and general hygiene rules will be maintained throughout the trade fair site. The maximum number of visitors to the fair depends on the staging plan. To ensure coronavirus-related traceability, advance registration for the trade fair duo will be required at www.expo-se.de. This means that admission and parking tickets will only be available online in advance of the exhibition date.
Anniversary offer: exhibitors receive stand space discounts – trade visitors up to 25 years of age will receive free admission
Despite last year's cancellation of the fair, the VSSE has not increased its prices for participation in the fair. For the double anniversary edition, exhibitors can receive discounts on their stand space and all trade visitors up to 25 years of age will receive free admission to the fair.
