Asia has displaced the United States as the main destination for Chilean fresh fruits so far in this campaign. Up until last Tuesday, Chile had sent 613,691 tons of fruit to Asian markets, i.e. 15.28% more than in the same period of 2019-2020. This increase would be driven, to a large extent, by the increase in cherry exports to China, its main market.

The United States ranked second after receiving 476,843 tons, and a decrease of more than 10%.

The European markets have received 276,432 tons, Latin America 253,436 tons, the Middle East 35,456 tons, and Canada 30,488 tons of fresh Chilean fruits.
