"Impact and current consequences of 'Brexit' for the Chilean fruit industry"

The Association of Fruit Exporters of Chile AG (ASOEX), ProChile, Freshfel Europe, and the Simfruit communication medium will hold the 'Impact and current consequences of Brexit for the Chilean fruit industry' webinar on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (Chile time).

The event is completely free and it will focus on providing a complete analysis of the current Brexit process and its repercussions for the Chilean export industry.

The event will feature presentations from three specialists from ASOEX, ProChile, and Freshfel.

Natalia Santos-Garcia Bernabe, the director of commercial policy at Freshfel Europe, is responsible for supporting importers and exporters of fruit and vegetables in Europe so they can acquire a better knowledge of the conditions to access key markets, especially in the areas of trade policy, plant health, official controls, and other sanitary and phytosanitary measures. She has a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary European Studies from the College of Europe, where she focused on the study of international relations in the European Union.

Charif Christian Carvajal (PhD), is the Marketing Director for Europe, Asia, and the Middle East of the Association of Fruit Exporters of Chile AG (ASOEX), a non-profit entity whose members move 90% of the total volume of fresh fruit that Chile exports. Carvajal also represents ASOEX as president of the Southern Hemisphere Fresh Fruit Exporters Association (SHAFFE), whose partner countries account for 25% of the total global fruit supply.

Ignacio Fernandez is the commercial director of ProChile in the United Kingdom and a lawyer that specializes in international trade, soft landing for investors, and promoting the country's image. ProChile is an entity of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that is in charge of promoting the exportable supply of Chilean goods and services, contributing to the diffusion of foreign investment, and promoting tourism.

The event will be opened by the president of ASOEX, Ronald Bown Fernandez, and it will end with a round table made up of the exhibitors, who will answer the questions of the participants.
