October 20, 21, and 22 via Fruit Attraction LIVEConnect

The biggest congress on European organic production will be held online next week

The third edition of the BIOFRUIT CONGRESS, the most important forum for the analysis and debate on Europe's organic fruit and vegetable production, will be held online. The congress will have three sessions, which will be broadcast on October 20, 21, and 22 via the Fruit Attraction LIVEConnect platform.

“Even though it will be a virtual edition, our association continues to support a production that is more and more consumed among Europeans. As a result of this growing consumption trend, the main European distribution chains and the most prominent fruit and vegetable producers will discuss the best strategies to respond to the increased demand for fresh organic products and the value that organic production has for the sector,” stated the director of  Proexport, Fernando Gomez.

From 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., speakers from European distribution chains and sustainable production will address the latest consumer behavior after COVID-19. Fruit Attraction and Eurofresh Distribution Magazine will open this third edition of Biofruit Congress by addressing the new community regulations.

Adolfo Garcia, manager of Camposeven, a company associated with Proexport, will be part of the table on Diversification of products and channels that will be held on Tuesday, October 20 at 4:00 pm.

Other topics that will also be addressed in the congress include the new sustainable objectives of the EU Green Deal, opportunities in the BRICS, e-commerce supply strategy in China, the cases of France and the Nordic markets, cooperation between the varietal selection and large distribution and, in general, the latest bio trends.

It has more than 80,000 hectares of organic farming.
