Yuksel Seeds is a seed research and production company that is working on improving hybrid vegetable varieties, specializing in tomato, pepper, eggplant, cucumber, melon and watermelon crops. It is a subsidiary of Yüksel Tohum and the largest breeder of seeds in Turkey. It is also long established in Asian countries and its current goal is to expand in Europe.

Newly launched tasty tomatoes
The firm has a wide range of specialties in different segments, especially Marmandes or pink tomatoes. When it comes to the former, it offers an extensive range of varieties of different colors: Elcoulant F1 brown, Bocamegra F1 green, Lachaman F1 red and, lastly, 24 Karat F1 gold.
This year, it has presented the CASSAROSA® brand, which features varieties such as the Leroxy F1.
As far as G-GG caliber pink tomatoes are concerned, it offers the Kunzita F1, which is ideal for those seeking to expand their product range for their Eastern European customers. It stands out for its good shelf life, excellent yield and size all year round, in addition to a very good setting in early plantations.
It also has the Sacher F1, a brown tomato with an excellent balance between sugars and acids, which has become a leader in its sector not only among large companies and cooperatives in Spain, but also worldwide. This year's new addition is the Kafetyn F1, which is larger, and resistant to TY.
All the varieties presented are ideal for supermarkets in Spain and Eastern Europe. It is possible to grow them year-round in greenhouses, thus guaranteeing their supply. Furthermore, the demand for these tasty tomato varieties is on the rise in all European markets.

Varieties already recognized in Spain
The range includes the Marcus F1 plum tomato, of a larger caliber and for the domestic market, or the Carmona F1, a plum tomato for export with over 7 Brix degrees, with an attractive, homogeneous red color and excellent skin quality. These are two of its most recognized varieties today, perfectly adapted to the Spanish climatic conditions. Other noteworthy varieties are the loose Farruco F1, for late plantings, and the Azarbe F1 smooth tomato, for early transplants and short cycles.
Research Center in southwestern Almeria
It has more than 8 hectares for the hydroponic and regular production of various kinds of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and eggplants. The idea is to help producers in the area in the management of their crops and showcase the potential of different varieties. The goals are to adapt to climatic challenges and the pressure of diseases, to produce while optimizing the water footprint and the use of fertilizers, and to carry out integrated pest management in order to obtain the best quality and yield.
