Organic sales numbers from the Swiss Federal Office for Agriculture

White grapes: One in ten sold was organic

In September, around 385 t of white organic grapes were purchased in Switzerland. Compared to the September values ​​of the three previous years, this is a significant increase in sales to more than 300 t for the first time. Consequently, the proportion of organic rose significantly, so that every tenth purchased white grape organic quality.

Organic Chinese cabbage expensive in September
In September, the price of organic Chinese cabbage averaged 8.54 CHF / kg in the Swiss retail trade. It was 83% higher than the price of conventionally produced Chinese cabbage. This difference was higher than in September of the two previous years, where it accounted for 52% and costed organic Chinese cabbage only 6.84 or 6.05 CHF / kg.
