Spain is the world's largest exporter of cucumbers. With a share of 26% of the total export market in 2018, the southern European country outperformed the second and third, the Netherlands (20.9%) and Mexico (19.1%). The global export market totaled more than 2.3 billion euros.
The biggest crop yields
In 2016, China was well ahead of the crop of cucumbers of all kinds. However, these are only exported in small quantities and are therefore intended for self-consumption by the more than 1.4 billion Chinese people.
