Packaging Automation exhibit eco-friendly machines that will increase productivity

At Fruit Logistica Packaging Automation will be exhibiting robotic tray sealing machinery suitable for packing all types of fruit and vegetables in preformed trays, the team will be on hand to showcase the latest developments designed to deliver significant increases in productivity, efficiency and performance.

PA’s most recent arrival is the Revolution XL Twin Lane tray sealer which benefits from an extended sealing bed and increased heater capacity to deliver more impressions per cycle and can increase production output by up to 25%.

The ingenious upgrade to the electro-magnetic seal station delivers significantly more seal force to ensure seal integrity is not compromised with the increased throughput.

PA’s tray sealing machines are extremely flexible and use proven, patented continuous motion control technology to maximize the speed of the machine. They operate without using any compressed air ensuring a greener machine and low carbon footprint. The machine will be exhibited with fully recyclable and compostable packaging solutions, which is key in the current market.

The machines benefit from PA’s unique pod tooling system which reduces unplanned downtime by up to 90% and are extremely easy to change allowing customers to be self-sufficient.

Also on display will be PA’s brand new integrated weighing system MiWeigh that improves productivity in pack houses and on product assembly lines. Multiple weigh scales on a single line are directly controlled through a central master screen that provides extensive live data enabling you to get a true picture from your packing process and pin point any areas for improvement. Operator performance and product giveaway can be tracked and KPIs set. Visual factory screens are available to bolt onto the system to show live performance to the operator’s whilst in production. Optionally, the MiWeigh scales and system can be linked to and be controlled by the tray sealer.

With uptime being so critical for our customers, our range of machines can be connected via a network to the internet allowing PA’s service team to dial in and monitor the operating status of the machine or diagnose component failure over the phone at any time. This gives them peace of mind that they can be back up and producing in the shortest time possible.

If you have problems with production costs, process efficiency and reliability come and challenge PA to maximize your performance.

Full packing lines can be specified and installed to include tray denesting, conveyoring, tray filling, film sealing including modified atmosphere packing (MAP) facilities. Foil tray sealing as well as plastic tray sealing can be accommodated on all machines as standard.
