“Spanish cauliflower significantly better than the French”

Late last week, German market agency AMI reported that cauliflower was becoming scarce. This hasn’t been noticed in the Netherlands yet. “The product is available every day, and prices are low. It’s supplied below cost price,” says one trader.

He thinks quality of the French cauliflower is significantly poorer than that of the Spanish. This is reflected in the price. “A package of 6 Spanish cauliflowers is sold at 1.50 euro more than the French, but that’s also due to transport costs, naturally,” the trader concludes.
