Brazilian fruit exports increased by 25% in the first half of 2026, with mangoes and apples among the main drivers. Total export revenue exceeded US$350 million during the period.
According to Abrafutas, the sector generated US$351 million and shipped 330 million kilograms of fruit, representing a 25% increase in value and a 13% increase in volume compared to the same period of the previous year.
Mango exports recorded a 69% increase in value and a 40% increase in volume. Apple exports showed a 215% increase in value and a 228% increase in volume.
Other fruits with growth included avocado, cantaloupe, and watermelon. Grapes were the exception, with lower volumes due to climate conditions.
The sector's performance is linked to product quality, supply consistency, and diversification of export destinations. Expectations include the signing of new trade agreements aimed at supporting competitiveness in international markets.
A delegation of Brazilian producers has been participating in international trade fairs to strengthen commercial activities and develop new business opportunities.
