WUMART is one of China's lower end supermarkets, very busy with a lot of staff on attenance.
The display of fruit and veg was a bit rough and ready.
Long aubergines and big green peppers.
The pineapples were pretty and almost ready to eat.

Bluberries from Mexico, a premium buy atalmost 4 Euros a pack.
Avocados are also an expensive fruit in China.

A visit to City Shop, a high end supermarket in a shopping mall.
A limited but well displayed range of fruit and vegetables.

Most of the produce in City Shop was packaged and quite bit more expensive than the lower end supermarkets.
Aubergine, the long light purple variety was priced at almost 2 Euro each.

Green, red and yellow peppers, big difference in price. Green are just 1 Euro for two while the red are 2.30 Euro.

The fruit in City Shop was well presented in rustic baskets and wooden trays.

Lastley we visited Ole, another top end supermarket situated in a high class shopping mall.
Fantastic displays of high quality fruit and vegetables.
Lota of citrus fruit on offer most of which wich was packaged.
Many different types of pomelo to choose from.
Ole was the only supermarket to fruit avaialable for tasting, here you could taste blueberries from Mexico, which was also on promotion.

Three lemons packaged, lemon are the 'next big thing' in China. They are becoming very popular for heath benefits and adding to a glass of water or an alcoholic drink.
