"The Moroccan cooperative M'Brouka annually exports 25,000 MT of citrus fruit. This is about 1200 containers each year, or 4 - 5 containers daily. "The most important export market is the United States, absorbing about 50% of our fruit. Canada takes about 25%, 10% is exported to the port of Rotterdam (Netherlands), and the remaining volume has a variety of destinations", says president Abderrazak Mouisset of Agri-Souss. In total, M’Brouka disposes of an acreage of about 1600 hectares (4,000 acres), of which 600 hectares of clementines, 300 hectares of Nour, 100 hectares of Navel, 250 hectares of Salustiana, 300 hectares of Maroc Late and 50 hectares of other citrus varieties. M'Brouka's own packing station has a surface of 25,000 sq.m and employs between 50 and 400 people. Agri-Souss is responsible for the logistic and financial operations."
