Frédéric Delahaye, Alinea Top Alliance

“Easter is a good time to promote our allium range”

Like every year, the Easter holidays are an excellent opportunity to showcase local seasonal products through displays in the stores. Alinéa Top Alliance "does this type of promotion every year, with nothing but positive feedback from our clients, whose sales and volumes increase during this period. For supermarkets, it is also an opportunity to bring a touch of originality to their shelves. We are really keen to energize the supermarkets of all our chains with this type of display. Our sales staff are imaginative and always work really well with whatever space available," explains Frédéric Delahaye, key account sales manager at Cooperative Alinea/Top Alliance.

A good way to promote French producers and their know-how
Lautrec's Pink Garlic now occupies a prominent place among other alliums in stores throughout France. "Our garlic, onion and shallot product range is very much a part of French gastronomy, with condiments enhancing the dishes typically prepared by French households. Easter is a time of the year when we need to bring this type of product to consumers. It is also an excellent way of promoting the expertise of all our producers. We therefore rely on a panel of PDO, PGI and Red Label references that the Alinéa cooperative and its sales office, SAS Top Alliance, have been mastering for over 30 years. Consumers are sensitive to products with geographical recognition, a guarantee of quality for them, which they buy in order to support French producers."

Stable volumes of Red Label Lautrec Pink Garlic
It is also a good time to take advantage of the end of the Red Label Lautrec Pink Garlic campaign. "This is truly a must-have product on supermarket shelves. It is harvested in mid-July and sold from mid-August to the end of April of the following year. The campaign has been stable in terms of volume compared with previous years, although the sizes harvested were slightly smaller due to the high temperatures recorded. Apart from these promotional operations, which always boost consumption, the demand has been relatively stable throughout the campaign."
