Maersk has provided an update regarding the recent industrial action that took place across the Belgian terminals, which has impacted vessel berthing windows and operations, consequently delaying cargo flows.
The industrial action has meant that a reduced number of vessels was able to enter and depart to and from the Belgian terminals, consequently significantly disrupting their normal schedules. As the situation is still developing, at the moment we expect a minimum of 48 hours waiting time and further changes in vessel schedules.
If your cargo is directly impacted by the current situation, you will receive specific information regarding detailed schedule changes. We will continue to focus on maintaining the flow of import and export cargo during this period and aim to keep impact to a minimum. However, please be aware that the situation could change, and additional disruption is possible. Should any changes occur, or further industrial actions be planned, we will communicate all information to you as soon as possible.
