About 230 Italian companies are currently participating in the Gulfood Manufacturing fair in Dubai (November 7-9, 2023). Almost all of them are involved in the food sector, including packaging and technologies for fruit selection and processing. Futura is among them, represented by Omar Papi (owner) and Mas Nikoo, contact person for the Arabian region.

"The fair started off with many attendees," said Omar Papi, "and great enthusiasm for new technology offers. We've already met with visitors from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India, Pakistan, Iran and Egypt. The first day was very busy. There were a lot of people."
Gulfood Manufacturing 2023 aims to be the Middle East's benchmark for the food industry. It will feature new ingredients and advanced technologies that will enable companies to reduce costs, grow and innovate.
“This is our second experience at this exhibition in Dubai," adds Papi. "We had an excellent response in 2022. It is an event dedicated to companies that manufacture process lines for processed fruit, packaging, tomato processing, etc. We offer measuring and packaging lines for greenhouse vegetables such as tomatoes, eggplants, cucumbers, peppers, courgettes. We also offer a new completely electronic line for the processing of dates.”
Gulfood expo is divided into five areas: Ingredients, Processing, Packaging, Supply Chain Solutions and Control and Automation. It is an opportunity for the industry to connect, learn, engage and steer food and beverage production towards a more sustainable, resilient, agile and efficient future.

Among the Italian companies present, those closely linked to the fruit and vegetable world should be mentioned, although they are a minority; among them, Futura srl, Sermac, Sacmi, Sermac, Pigo, PND and Fabbri Group.
