Maoming, the largest lychee producer in Guangdong Province, is the world's largest lychee production area. Currently, there are 15 registered lychee orchards and 7 registered fruit packaging factories for export in Maoming.
As of May 12th, Maoming has exported 20 shipments of lychees, totalling 210 tons, with a value of 9.77 million yuan. The export destinations include the United States, the Netherlands, Canada, Panama, and others, marking the official start of this year's lychee export season in the city. The intended export orders from key enterprises in Maoming amounted to 6,666 tons, representing a nearly 30% growth compared to the total export volume of the previous year.
