Increase in volumes expected for the Kiwi Passion Consortium

Getting near to the harvest time, Kiwi Passion consortium foresees a significant increase in volumes for the kiwi varieties promoted and marketed by the Consortium itself.

The Consortium management says: "We expect at least to double 2021/22 volumes on both red and gold varieties. After a very satisfactory campaign, both in the field and toward consumers, our main goals remain unchanged: to provide our markets with the highest quality and an inimitable taste, joint with a deep sense of respect toward the environmental themes. Not only in every step of the production and marketing chain, but also by choosing the most sustainable packaging materials".

Kiwi Passion packaging will be 100% compostable, in order to meet both consumers and distributors deeds.

Besides the traditional 6 kg loose, and 2,3 (Red Passion) or 3 kg trays (Gold Passion), this season there is a brand new retail pack 100% cardboard made, ideal to build up the brand image, bringing added value to the points of purchase (see photo).

"We constantly receive reports about how the kiwi industry needs to base its future on innovation'', says Marco De Nadai, market manager for the Kiwi Passion Consortium, and our guidelines will continue to ensure we invest in technology and innovation, supporting our growers and pushing them to grow fruits which can fit a more and more demanding and competitive market."

Sales campaign will start mid-October for the Red Passion variety and mid-November for the Gold Passion one. The first containers will be shipped starting at the end of October. The US, Canada, Mexico and South American markets will be the main destinations.

Kiwi Passion looks forward to meeting you in Madrid, from October 4th to 6th, at Pavillion #4, booth 4D04B.
