Australian pavilion - Asia Fruit Logistica

Early cherries and new grape varieties from Australia Fruit

The team from Australia Fruits are looking forward to being back at Asia Fruit Logistica again. They will be there with cherries under the Wandin Valley Farm brands.

"There are new exciting early varieties and plantings that will give us extended seasonality. We will commence mid to late October, which is two weeks earlier and go through till February," said Joe Tullio from Australia Fruits.

"We also have exciting new grape varieties. Through our major grower base we will have access to all red, black and green varieties."

Australian table grape production is expected to increase 210,000 MT, which is a 15% increase from last year. The season will start November through till May.

"We do a lot of mixed containers so our customers can have multiple varieties and for some destinations multiple products including vegetables."

Services:
"We are finding growth in the 3rd party container loading space. Loadings, cold treatment, documentation, with post loading QC reporting when required."

"Wandin Valley Farms have been our partners for many years now. We are exhibiting in the Australian pavilion, November is a busy time of year for the packing house therefore we will have a small team attending, this will work ok this year being our first AFL in Thailand.

Australia Fruit are targeting growth in markets that have improved protocol access such as Korea, Vietnam, Japan. "We believe there is growth opportunity in these markets for Australian product." Therefore they will be taking more time to meet people from these regions.

"The value we see attending Asia Fruit Logistica and Asiafruit Congress is that it’s a great opportunity to meet and greet new people and existing customers, we are all in the same industry with goals to continue to improve, interact and express our passion."
