Fruit Attraction in Madrid has become one of the most important fruit trade shows for product innovation. For Goldenberry Farms™, the timing of the show provides an opportunity to meet, finalize supermarket programs with European and UK clients and review customized merchandising and packaging options, including its sugarcane-based bio-packs and recycled clamshell options for berries.
Goldenberry Farms will feature its fall-themed tropical rambutan with repurposed and branded packaging, offering a fun and kid-friendly introduction to the world of tropical fruit.
The vibrant labels include optional in-store merchandising displays to create eye-catching presentations and give parents more family-friendly fresh fruit options to buy.
“We are always searching for ways to make eating fruit more enjoyable and explorative for kids. This product helps highlight the nutritional benefits of this lesser-known exotic fruit and introduce kids to lesser-known fruit in an entertaining and fun way," said Christopher Palumbo, brand director. “The unique and exotic look of the fruit, with its bright red and “spikey” appearance, peeled back to reveal a delicious and sweet flavor inside make it fun and appealing to kids.”
Palumbo says overall it has seen a sharp uptick in consumer demand for exotic and healthy fruit options, especially after Covid. "With fun packaging and innovative presentations, Goldenberry Farms hopes to offer grocers, merchants and retailers better ways to expand their tropical fruit sales," says Palumbo.
The rambutans are sourced from high-quality farms in Guatemala and Honduras which offer a growing season that begins in early June and continues until mid-December. Rambutan are also available from Vietnam and Mexico.
Goldenberry Farms will have the rambutans, farm-fresh goldenberries, physalis, purple passionfruit and Sweet Sugar Mangos™ on display at its booth for the Fruit Attraction Fair in Madrid.
