Huili pomegranates exported to Thailand through the China-Laos railway for the first time

Recently, 22 tons and 2,584 boxes of Huili pomegranate from Sichuan Linyao International Import and Export Trade Co., Ltd., located in Huili City, Liangshan Prefecture, were sent to Thailand by the China-Laos Railway, which is the first time that agricultural products from Sichuan have been exported through the China-Laos Railway.

Huili is the hometown of pomegranates in China. Huili pomegranate has the advantages of thin skin, bright color, soft seeds, sweet and juicy taste, etc., and is gradually exported to the overseas market. Since the beginning of this year, Panzhihua Customs has strengthened joint cooperation with relevant local departments. While jointly helping enterprises standardize daily planting management and improve the construction of the quality system, it has guided orchards to complete the registration of outbound fruit orchards and ensure the quality of exported pomegranate fruits.

In the process of exporting pomegranates to Thailand by the China-Laos railway train, Panzhihua Customs provides the latest import policies and inspection and quarantine requirements of Thailand in a targeted manner and gives suggestions to the enterprises timely. It also tries to complete the preparation and issuance of relevant certificates on the same day under the premise of reducing personnel contact, so as to ensure that Huili pomegranate (fresh fruit) is quickly cleared with "zero waiting" to enter the Thai market.

Panzhihua Customs said that since the beginning of this year, the west of the city has exported more than 3,000 tons of special agricultural products such as mangoes, pomegranates, and apples.
