Last month, attendees at the Women's Fresh Perspectives Conference (WFPC) offered rave reviews for the opening general session from Wendy McManus, leadership coach of Connect 2 Potential. McManus' talk was titled, "Get on the Same Page: How to shape your culture collaboratively from any seat in the organization." During this keynote session, McManus highlighted the benefits of getting on the same page, including fewer misunderstandings, deeper trust, more engaged team members, and better business outcomes.
Hosted by the IFPA (International Fresh Produce Association), this female-forward conference in Santa Anna Pueblo, New Mexico, attracted roughly 175 produce and floral industry professionals. Megan Nash, director of education and talent, along with IFPA staffers, shepherded the event to a successful conclusion just months after forming this new industry organization.

We knew that the first session would set the stage for an immersive learning experience that provided takeaways to inspire and motivate attendees to further develop their leadership potential," said Nash. "We had a wonderful line-up of speakers, confirming why WFPC is such a popular event. I'm happy to see it's found a home on the IFPA calendar, and we've already scheduled the next women's conference for April 16 to 19, 2023, in Orlando."
Nash shared her excitement to have McManus back as a speaker at WFPC for the third time. Her customized content ties directly into the needs of our audience, and her sessions have become a highlight for those in attendance," said Nash.

McManus says the concepts she teaches in her 'Get on the Same Page' keynote were quite simple but not always easy to practice in busy day-to-day lives. "My goal was to inspire those in the audience to prioritize the practice of making and keeping agreements to get on the same page with others in their professional and personal relationships," she says.
McManus is available for one-to-one coaching, team-building facilitation, training, and speaking to support high-achieving organizations in the produce industry and beyond.
