After the unfortunate death of its founder and president, Jorge Aguilar Heredia, the Shareholders' Council had to appoint his successor to the presidency of the company.
Jorge Angel Aguilar Gallegos Jr. said it is a great honor and, at the same time, a great responsibility to assume the presidency in addition to the role he has already been exercising as CEO for almost two years. But he is convinced that with the support of his strengthened management team, Coliman Bananas will be able to continue with the legacy Jorge Aguilar Sr. left behind.
"Additionally, a renewed Board of Directors with external counselors in the process of taking office will undoubtedly bring a lot of business experience to the company," he added.
He said that within the plans for the group in the short, medium and long term, it is to continue consolidating Coliman Bananas as one of the main producers and marketers of conventional and organic bananas in Mexico and abroad.
