New Idaho potato packaging unveiled

ProSource Produce L.L.C., is releasing the first images of the company’s branded potato packaging.

ProSource Produce, LLC, an Idaho based grower-shipper of fresh potatoes and onions, has introduced new Idaho russet packaging as part of an overall company growth and development strategy. The black bags will be available in 3#, 5#, 8# and 10# clear or tinted poly, starting this week. Mesh bags will be available in a few weeks. ProSource recently announced its new, sweet onion carton which shares the same graphics and brand elements.

ProSource Produce, LLC has introduced new Idaho russet packaging as part of its overall company growth and development strategy.

“One of our goals in 2021 is to continue market penetration for the ProSource brand in both potatoes and onions. We’re building on our success in the foodservice sector by expanding our reach into the retail and wholesale segments of the fresh market,” said Ryan Popke, director of retail sales.

“The bag design is purposeful in so many ways,” said Ralph Schwartz, director of new project development. “With premium positioning and a very clean appearance, this bag will help create identity and attract consumers to the fresh potato category, especially with small- to medium-sized retailers.”

ProSource plans to introduce red, yellow and non-Idaho russet bags in July, just in time for the start new crop in the Midwest.
