Mango board accepting nominations for D3 importer

The National Mango Board (NMB) will open nominations for a board member seat serving through the end of 2022. The position open is for one (1) District 3 importer. The nomination period will be open from April 12–23, 2021.

By actively participating in the NMB, board members can shape the future direction of board programs for years ahead through research and promotional activities, while also fostering a thriving industry. Candidates must be willing to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of board membership and meet certain requirements to be eligible.

To narrow the selection of nominees to the two required for submission, mango industry members in the respective district will vote to select the two nominees. The two nominees will be presented to the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, who will make the final decision regarding the appointment to the board.

Mango industry members interested in serving should click here for complete details, updates and the necessary forms. Nominations must be received at the NMB office no later than April 23, 2021. Questions about the nominations and appointment process can be directed to Anna Deschamps-Polonia at Apolonia@mango.org or by phone at 407-629-7318 x 112.

The NMB encourages industry members without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, size of business/operations and marital or family status or other basis protected by U.S. laws to participate in NMB activities and seek a position on the board.
