Alpine Fresh, grower, packer, and shipper of fresh fruits and vegetables, has added purple Brussels sprouts to its product line. This new commodity is being offered alongside the company’s green Brussels sprouts program.
These purple gems pack a different color and slight change in flavor profile in comparison to their green counterpart.
“Purple Brussels sprouts can be a little sweeter than traditional green Brussels. They make for a perfect holiday side. We are excited to offer our customers something special during the fall and winter months,” says Jorge Bastidas, procurement manager for Alpine Fresh, Inc.
This seasonal item is currently being grown in the US.
