Wageningen University and Research:

'New tool gives advice on optimal storage conditions for top fruit'

Growers, depots and cold storage operators all want freshly harvested fruit to be stored in the best possible way. The best storage conditions will depend on variables such as the cultivar, when it was harvested and the storage system. Wageningen Food & Biobased Research has developed a Storage Advice Tool which takes that data and combines it with years of expertise and modelling at Wageningen University & Research to enable users to make their own decisions regarding storage conditions.

This new tool is available free of charge to anyone with a WUR fruit consultancy membership. Users can enter a few details and receive advice by email within a few minutes. WUR experts are available to answer any additional questions about top fruit storage.
