On 15 July 2020, China announced 589 maximum residual levels (MRL). These are for 67 pesticides used on food. They notified the World Trade Organization's SPS committee of this. They did so in a draft entitled G/SPS/N/CHN/1164. The proposed MRLs relate to a range of horticultural products.
China didn't give a proposed date for enforcing these MRLs. People can send comments about this draft to China's SPS information point via sps@customs.gov.cn. The submission deadline is 13 September 2020.
