FL.C hosts professional seminar during Fruit Logistica

R&D, the "hidden spice" in Israeli fresh herbs

FL.C, one of Israel's leading exporters of fresh herbs, joined forces with the association of herb growers in Israel and the Israeli export institute to host the first professional seminar focusing on R&D and innovation done by leading researchers in Israel.

"The team of FLC is committed to deliver the finest produce of Israel to fresh herbs customers around the world", says Yair Sholomi, Manager of the fresh herbs department in FLC. "We believe in the importance of communication, of exchanging views and in constant improvement. This is the reason why we have invested a lot of effort to have this opportunity and share the latest Israeli R&D developments with customers and visitors in this important exhibition".

Israel is one of the leading countries in researching and developing agriculture, constantly striving for improvement and finding solutions to challenges, which all translates into exporting produce of high quality all over the world.

The seminar included a lecture given by the chief guide of the herb section in the Agriculture Ministry in Israel, Mr. David Silverman, who shared the latest research done on Basil, Coriander and Salicornia.  Alongside various issues dealing with product shelf life, latest developments, advantages of the Israeli fresh herbs produce and the attention given to the global market demands.

"FLC believes that cooperation between the customer, the exporter, the farmer and the researcher will yield the best production," says Shlomi. "We will continue to bring the best of Israeli produce to our customers around the world. While striving to deliver the best and latest fresh herbs varieties possible to our global customers".
