The first Costa Rican melons of the season are en route to Europe. "We will receive various Seedless varieties of watermelons including Maxima and Joya. Also the traditional variety, Quetzaly will also be included. We will also have fresh yellow melons and white honey melons in our assortment again", says Martijn van Gaal of Gottmann.
"We expect the first watermelons in week 4 and from week 5 the first yellow and white honey melons will arrive. All our melons will be packaged under our own brand 'Pasion' and sold to various buyers throughout Europe and beyond."
"Thanks to the excellent weather conditions, the harvest has an excellent brix and a nice, fresh presentation for our customers," says Martijn.
