Citromax organic lemon grove surpasses 100,000 tree mark

Citromax Group has announced that the company’s organic lemon groves have reached a substantial milestone, passing the 100,000-tree mark and approaching 110,000 organic lemon trees.

Citromax’s organic lemon groves are located in the foothills of the Andes, in a unique sub-tropical climate that creates an optimal setting for the cultivation of premium organic lemons that feature outstanding flavor and high juice content. The company’s three organic lemon groves – known as Rosa, Rincon and Victoria – are situated on more than 860 acres. Rosa, which has been family owned and operated for more than fifteen years, is the oldest and largest of Citromax’s organic groves.

“Citromax Group recognizes the increased global demand for organic fruit products, so we continue to invest in our organic groves,” said Mariano Sangronis, Commercial Manager & Head of Fresh Division. “As the world’s largest organic lemon grower and processor, we now produce over 1,000 MT of high-quality organic lemon juice concentrate through sustainable production practices.”

Citromax Group, with its extensive expertise in organic production, is proud to be one of the first lemon growers worldwide to focus on offering organic products  to the health and wellness market. In 2004, the Citromax Group’s processing plant in Tucumán, Argentina was certified as an approved Organic Processing Facility. The company’s organic product portfolio includes essential lemon oils, lemon juice concentrate, not-from-concentrate lemon juice and lemon pulp cells. Their organic folded lemon oils, lemon extracts, and flavors can be used in both 100% Organic products and NOP-compliant products and are used to support a growing market trend in the health and wellness segment.

Citromax Flavors, one of the first flavor houses in the industry to be certified as USDA Organic, is also a Kosher and Allergen-free flavor house. The company has been expanding the organic expertise of Citromax Group since 2005 by formulating Organic, National Organic Program (NOP)-compliant and non-GMO flavors. Citromax Flavors provides sweet and fruit (citrus and non-citrus) flavor profiles to the food and beverage industry. Their flavor specialists employ the latest technology to produce taste characteristics that are compatible with the most advanced processing techniques.
