"800 hectares in China will be dedicated to Jintao kiwifruit"

Thanks to a booth placed in the center of the huge Hall 05, the participation of Jingold to Asiafruit Logistica has been particularly successful. During the tradeshow days, indeed, the booth has been visited by a lot of people and Asiatic clients together to the intervention at Asiafruit Congress of Jingold Executive Director Alessandro Fornari.

Today Jingold represents 800 producers which operate globally as a brand. The company vision tends to change the normal rapport between product and client in order to create a network of operators involved in a real and profound collaboration.

The project strength is confirmed by its numbers which, today, count on more than 2000 hectares of production located in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Chile, Argentina and China.

The 800 hectares in China will be exclusively dedicated to Jintao variety and will be commercialized via Goodwei brand, in order to provide the local market with an quality eco-friendly product.

The story of the rapport between Jingold Group and China started more than 20 years ago, thanks to a collaboration with Professor Huang of Wuhan Botanical Garden, where the Jintao variety has been developed. In 2012 the collaboration between Jingold and the Asiatic research center has developed and patented two new kiwi varieties: Jinyan and Donghong. The second one, better known as Oriental Red for its red flesh, has been awarded with the Gold Award at Fruit Logistica 2019 as the best innovation in fruit & veg sector of the year.

Executive Director Alessandro Fornari has confirmed that the predictions for the next year will see an expected 40% growth for the Yellow Kiwi and for the other varieties. His presence at the Asia Fruit Congress has been the occasion to highlight how the work of Jingold in China is a good example of the company strategy which works to create a rapport of confidence and affinity between the consumers and products.

"We are concentrated on the creation of a business model where one of the principal reasons for its success is defined by relations both inside our network and with customers" ended Mr. Fornari.
