A woman in Cameroon is now a local hero, as she designs and creates clothes made from dried banana leaves sown together. She had experience creating clothes from different kinds of fabric, so her husband asked her to use banana leaves to make a jacket for him. The results were satisfactory and now she creates a variety of clothes made from banana leaves. It’s not sure if she’ll ever get an award for traditional fashion, but the people from her village are clearly impressed.
