Fresca Group Chief Executive, Ian Craig, has confirmed that Tim Espley will be taking a new role from July 2019, becoming Managing Director of The Fresh Produce Centre Ltd.
Having been Operations Director for Fresca since 2007 and a member of the Fresca Group Executive team, Tim is more than familiar with the companies and facilities at this flagship site for Fresca in Paddock Wood. His new responsibilities extend across all activity at the site and include DGM Growers in Holbeach, Lincolnshire.
This appointment brings Tim back to Kent from Evesham where he has been overseeing the recent successful extension of the Primafruit facilities.
Ian Craig explains: “Tim is a well-known and popular member of our team; he’ll be bringing a genuine wealth of experience to a business that has been through a significant amount of change in recent times. His commercial acumen is strong, and it is a pleasure to be able to add broader responsibilities to his role.”
Tim is looking to continue the great work undertaken at The Fresh Produce Centre in recent times. This will include ensuring that Mack Fruit continues its positive performance with new business high on the agenda. Another key priority will be to develop the agility and responsiveness of FreshPLUS, the service provision arm of the company. The role also covers responsibility for The Avocado Company to deliver its full growth potential, bringing results for growers and retailers alike.
