The production season of Chinese grapes has already begun. The majority of grapes currently on the Chinese market come from Yunnan. Guangdong SpriFresh has entered the supply season now that grape production in Yunnan has begun. Helen Zheng of Guangdong SpriFresh gave her opinion on the current conditions of the Chinese grape industry: "Our grapes begin to enter the market around the end of April. The supply season of Black Globe grapes from Yunnan vineyards begins in the middle of April. The production season of Red Globe grapes from Xinjiang vineyards follows later in August and September. This early in the season only a small volume of Red Globe grapes from Yunnan vineyards are ripe. The price of these Red Globe grapes is relatively high because supply is limited. The price will gradually fall when the supply volume grows."

As for the overall production volume, this year the production volume is more or less the same as last year. In addition, the product quality of our grapes improved because we take advantage of the latest innovation in plantation technology."
"This year, our grape export season began around the end of April and the beginning of May. In the end, our export volume is limited because the export price of Chinese grapes is relatively high this year. However, we believe that the market conditions will change when the grape production season proceeds. As supply grows the market will improve. In addition, Chilean grapes and Australian grapes firmly occupied their market share. However, their market position does not threaten the retail conditions of our grapes from Yunnan. This is because the peak of the supply season of grapes from Yunnan only takes place after the production season of Chilean grapes and Australian grapes has already come to an end.
We are currently focusing on the production of early-season grape varieties. We want to make sure that we can guarantee product quality to our customers. We have our own grape processing factories in the production areas to ensure that the export of our grapes proceeds in proper order."
