Dutch company, TOP Onions warns fellow fresh produce trading companies against doing business with a Philippine company:
‘’We would like to warn other traders about Mr Ferddie Ang from company ‘’Flevo Trading’’ in the Philippines. This warning also concerns his other import companies known as:
Four Pole Moon Trading
Potanion Trading
Red Soil Agri Trading
"After several shipments, we released the documents for Mr. Ferddie Ang’s last order in 2018 before payment, consisting of four containers with a total amount of USD 58,565.
"When we started to ask for payment, Mr. Ferddie Ang told us to wait for a little while, due to tight funds. "He promised to settle his debt at the end of January 2019. We have been chasing him since then.
"Unfortunately, Mr. Ferddie Ang won't even pick up his phone anymore! The invoice from Flevo Trading is already outstanding for almost 4 months.
"Do not protect bad payers! Margins are too small to let this kind of people take advantage of the existing fear in the onion world to talk about losses.
"In Panama we have a similar case, if this company will not pay we will expose them soon. "We are thankful for this platform which gives us the opportunity to expose the bad buyers!
"We hope that our warning will help other suppliers to avoid unnecessary losses in future.
