Leadership program focused on mid-career women in the produce industry

After a pilot program in the fall, Wendy McManus of Connect 2 Potential has opened registration for the spring session of Lean in to Leadership, a coaching and development program for mid-career women in the produce industry who want to amplify their impact.

The program includes five group sessions via video conference, and three one-on-one coaching sessions which offer the opportunity to collaborate and grow face-to-face—without the time and expense of additional business travel.

Who is the ideal candidate for Lean in to Leadership?

McManus says it is designed for women who are mid-career, managing people, projects or a portfolio of business, who are a strong contributor to the organization and want to lean into their growth edges, rather than settling for the status quo.

“Through the Lean in to Leadership program, I’m teaching concepts that I wish I had been exposed to earlier in my career,” McManus says. “In this small group format, everyone is connecting and learning from each other, so it’s a fun and dynamic learning environment.”

She says those who participate in Lean in to Leadership can expect to:

* Expand their influence by learning how to shine in high-stakes conversations.
* Strengthen their relationships by improving how they connect and communicate.
* Enhance their ability to engage and inspire others through powerful questions and other coaching skills.
* Develop their capacity to lead, even if they are not in a formal leadership role.
* Bolster their personal leadership prowess through greater self-awareness.
* Reconnect with their core values that provide the “true north” for their work and their life.

The first group session is set for March 26, with a session every other week until May 21. McManus noted that this schedule allows time for participants to put what they are learning into action in between sessions. Registration will be capped at 8 participants, and McManus said she expected the program to sell out.
