Eqraft B.V. to reopen

Yesterday it was announced by curator, Bas van Dijen, that the Dutch company, Eqraft B.V., would reopen. There has been much interest in the take-over of Eqraft's activities. The liquidator has been negotiating the restart of the company with several parties since Eqraft was declared bankrupt.

Since then, an agreement has been reached with MSP. The curator is pleased that the restart has been realized. The reopening of the company offers not only good returns for the estate. It also provides the best possible opportunity for continuity and employment.

"Under the leadership of Marcel Kampes and Rutger Keurhorst, the first steps have already been taken. Kampes is the new General Director and has previous ties to Eqraft B.V. Keurhorst has been appointed as the Commerical Director. There is a lot of support from the staff and management for the new plan."

"The goal is to retain job opportunities in the Dutch town of Emmeloord. Various staff members will be actively involved in the new Eqraft. The passion and dedication of these knowledgeable individuals are needed to make a success of the reopening. Together, we will put our efforts into a fresh, clear start."

"The focus for the coming year is on creating a solid basis. From here, the project organization can continue its vision and strategy of recent years. As was reported by various media last week, it is important that the technology is retained. This is so that the onion sector can further expand."

"The new Eqraft also places great value on the continued development of optic sorting. This is one of the prestigious MSP project's key products. For the slimmed-down Eqraft, the main focus in the first year will be on getting the 'Factory of the Future' project production-ready. This will become the new Eqraft and, so, OTA's ultimate showroom.”
