It is with great enthusiasm that Thai consumers welcome the new Candine® apple variety, marketed by Blue Whale. “This cross between Fuji and Ariane is perfectly suited to the taste of Asian customers: a sweet apple, juicy and firm,” explains Dina Abella, communication manager at Blue Whale. The Blue Whale producers have a lot of hope for from this new variety, which is resistant to scab. The company is expecting a harvest of about 300 to 400 tons in 2019.
